Photo Shoot

 I took the kids pictures on Tuesday, it was pretty spur of the moment.  

I took Jenna and Logan's picture then Jenna wanted to take mine, that's why I'm in the mix.

Jaida was at school so when she got home I made her change and get ready.  We were lucky to have the sun out for a nice day.

I was so pleased how they turned out, enjoy!

 

Just finished this painting over the weekend for a client.

We had a great Family Home Evening last week, the kids were attentive, and very interested.  The Spirit was very strong as we got to share our testimonies of these 5 things.  If you haven't done this lesson, or haven't done it for a while, I recommend it!  

Snow Day

 

We had a snow day about a week and a half ago!  I got up at 5:30 to go to the gym and checked my phone, saw the schools were closed and went back to bed.  The next thing I heard was Jaida coming into our room saying, "It's a WINTER WONDERLAND outside!!!"  The kids were so excited!  I was too, we quickly ate, got dressed and got out the sled.  I knew better than to wait to play in the snow.  We got to have Kenzie come play too!  The only time we love our sloped driveway is when it has snowed, it was the perfect sledding hill for everyone.

 

 

Good thing we didn't wait, the snow was melted by lunchtime.

At least we got a couple hours of snow this season!

Ward Cake Auction

I made this monster cake for our ward auction tonight. I hope it brings in some good money. :)

A few pictures

 

 I took a few pictures of the kids just before the party yesterday.  I made this frame to go around the pirate cut out, it made for a great frame for the kiddos.

A funny thing yesterday, when the girls woke up for school Russ could hear Jenna whispering to Jaida, "you don't have to make your bed, Mom will do it because it's your birthday.  She did it for me on my birthday."  I got a good laugh when Russ told me.  When we were getting ready for the party I asked the kids to pick up their toys, Jenna told me that Jaida didn't have to do any of it because it was her birthday.  What a sweet little sis looking out for her big sis on her birthday!

 Ahoy, me hearties!  We celebrated Jaida's 9th birthday yesterday with some friends.

 I'm not sure how Jaida came up with the pirate theme, but we went with it.

 Russ came up with some clues to the treasure, I placed them appropriately around the house.  This was my favorite part of the party, watching them run all over the house trying to figure it out was hilarious.

 The dessert table.  I decided to make it easy on myself and do mini cupcakes with icing in the fondue pot, they could add whatever sprinkles they wanted.

We borrowed this game from our friends (thank you, L!), and it was a hit!

 The easiest cake I've ever made!  I loved it, and so did the girls...I think it may be a new favorite!

Just Dance!

To say Jaida loves to dance is an understatement.  She is ALWAYS dancing!  We went to our friends house for dinner the other night and they started playing the game.  I loved watching Logan shake his little buns.

A Day Downtown

It was so sunny we had to get out on Saturday. We decided to explore downtown and ride the "train" in the free zone. The kids loved that part! We tried Saint Cupcake, my favorite was the carrot cake. I give it 3 out of 5 stars. We got a snack at the Newport restaurant on the water, that was fun. Such a fun day with the family.

Weekend!

 My sister came out for a quick weekend trip.  She got here Friday morning and had to go back Sunday at 5.  We sure made the most of her time out here!  We went non stop all weekend!

Potty Training

Logan has been wearing his big boy underwear since the Christmas break. For the most part he's been doing really well! Haven't used a diaper or pull-up since he started. We're still working on the pulling up the pants part. We are so proud of him!

Family Photos

 We took our family photos in November, I didn't want to post all of them since I wanted our Christmas card photo to be a surprise.  A friend in our stake whom is a photographer, Megan Elle Photography took our pictures.  No muss, no fuss, 20 minutes and we were done!

Famous Toast

 Jenna is famous for her toast in our house...I don't know how it started but now Jaida is always asking for "Jenna's famous toast".  This morning she made some for Jaida's lunch, what a nice little sister!  Jenna is always helping make lunch for herself and Bubby too.  Why, just yesterday after having been to the dentist I fell asleep on the couch (still drugged) and woke up an hour later.  Jenna had made lunch for Bubs and herself, sure there was a mess but everyone was fed.
