Fire Season

No rain for 30 something days, hot, dry air isn't a good combination for fire season. These are a couple of pictures i took while driving, one from a fire in Lavan and the other above Alpine just started a couple hours ago.

Manti Pageant

 We drove down to Manti Saturday after the parade to go see the Pageant. I haven't been for about 15 years, it was fun to take the kids.

 This is the temple Russ and I were sealed in, so I love to go back and visit with the kiddos.

 Weston and Gage came along, some of the grandkiddies with Grandma.

Play

Of course we got to play a little last week too. We got to go to the Lehi Roundup barbecue, stock parade and rodeo with my whole family. They were such fun nights I love the roundup!

Work-ation

All last week we got our workout in, we did a little, er I mean a LOT of summer cleaning at Russ' parents house.

We filled 2 dumpsters, 2 Uhaul trucks, 4 scrap metal pick ups and a DI run. We were so grateful Christy and the kids were there, we wouldn't have been able to do a fourth of what we did with just us! I was so proud of everyone working together to get this done.

Potions

We came home last night and the kids were so happy to see grandpa. He had a scout meeting where he took Popsicles so he had a little dry ice left over. My dad is a kid at heart and is more than happy to play, they played with this stuff for a good hour.

Last Day Of School!

Last day of school 2011-2012

 It's finally here, the last day of school! It's hard to believe it's over, actually, time has gone by so fast.

The girls got to have pajama day on their last day and were so excited to wear their jammies to school.

 Every morning Logan and I wave and throw "I love you" signs at the girls through the window.

Zoo

We went to the Zoo with our friends yesterday, haven't been in quite a while. On our way we saw this truck on fire, I got a video since I wasn't driving. I had my window down and was surprised how intense the heat was when we passed it.

Funny

Logan and I went to famous Dave's barbecue for lunch with our friends the other day. I sent this picture to Russ to make him jealous because I know he loves this place. As soon as i sent the picture and set my phone on the table Big Russ was walking in with his friend from work! I was laughing so hard and watched him pull his phone out of his pocket to see my text.

Swim Time!

Since the pool opened over memorial day weekend we have been swimming at our friends pool all the time! Rain or shine we are there, it's a good thing that pool is heated...but it's hard getting out on those cold days! I am proud of the girls swimming so well, Logan is getting more and more brave as well. I'm hoping he'll be swimming by the end of this season.

Juicy Jog-a-thon

Two years ago Logan and I went to the jogathon to cheer jaida on, the lawn was wet from sprinklers being on earlier so Logan's shoes got really wet. When we got home Logan took off his shoe and felt his wet sock and said, "my socks are JUICY!"

This year the lawn was wet from rain but I was smarter and we wore our rain boots. The girls had fun running, Logan and I stayed at the station marking the kids' papers on their backs as they ran by.

Way to go girls!

Pioneer Pillow

Jaida needed to make a patchwork quilt pillow for her pioneer trek next week in school. I reminded her how to sew and she was off, it took about an hour and a half worth of time to finish this. I am so proud of Jaida!

Field

I met my friend Heidi at the park by her house and took photos in the field nearby. The kids didn't like the bees in the field but ventured in anyway. What a cool spot!

This Week

We have had such nice weather this week! Sunshine does a body good...unless you're in it too long like me and you get burned. We went to plenty of parks, had water fights, picnics and bike rides.

I finished a painting and give it to a happy customer today. I'd say it's been a good week.
