Canyon

Went up the canyon last night, we took this moth we caught in the backyard to show the grandkids. We had a "Dutch oven cook-off", I made enchiladas, Mindy made peach cobbler (mmmm), Ma made beans...the judges are still deliberating. It was a beautiful day and fun night, love the mountains.

Gardens

Grandma took us to Thanksgiving Point gardens Friday morning. Everything is so beautiful there. My favorite was smelling the roses, always takes me back to being at my grandma Joyce's house. A close second were the fish, funny to watch.

Dinos

What's a trip to Utah without the Dinosaur museum? Mindy came along with the kids. Our favorite was the beginning where we got to see and test different moving contraptions. Dinner at JCWs afterward was the perfect end.

The lake

Grandpa took us out on the lake yesterday. The kids got to steer the boat, they thought it was awesome, I just got dizzy.

Swim

We had Mindy's kiddos this morning for pancakes and then decided to go swimming.  We got our lunches packed and looked outside, this is what we saw!  Complete with thunder, lightning and huge raindrops. 

 We waited 10 minutes and it passed...we made it to the pool.

Sunday

We had 30 people over on Sunday for dinner, lots of cousins and family on both sides.  The kids had a blast playing with their cousins from Colorado last week.  We miss them already!

We had family pictures last night with all the family.  Out of the whole month this ONE day was the only day that worked for everyone!  I took a few shots of my kiddos while waiting for others to get their pictures done.

Train

Walked along the tracks with the kids looking for golf balls, this guy came along just in time.

Temple Square

We got to go to temple square in Salt Lake with the cousins. Beautiful day and fun to spend time with family.

Flight

Freedom Festival

We woke up nice and early to head down to the Freedom Festival in Provo this morning.  Grandma and Grandpa took the kiddos down to watch the balloons launch while Russ and I went down with Mindy, Dustin and Mike to run the 5K.

After the race Russ and I walked over to the parade festivities

It was a perfect day for the parade, the sun was hiding for most of it so we didn't get roasted.

We headed over to Scott's house for lunch and jumping...here is Logan playing Superman.

The Beach

 We planned a day to go to the beach, looked at the weather report but went anyway.  I was nervous on our way there it was pouring, but when we got there it was perfect!  No wind, no rain, awesome.  About 10 minutes after we arrived it started sprinkling.  It rained on and off for the rest of the time but it was a light mist, nobody seemed to care!

 Fun trips like this are the result of our early morning workouts at the gym conversations.  So much fun to be with Jill and the kids.

 Last week my friend Jillyn and I hiked up to the tippie top of Multnomah Falls with all the kiddos.  I was so impressed how well the little guys did!  They walked 98% of the time.  The hike is about 1.2 miles uphill!
