Happy Birthday Jenna Eve!

We celebrated Jenna's birthday on Saturday with some of her friends. A couple months ago I found out the High School was going to be putting on the play The Little Mermaid, and one of the shows was on her birthday. I asked her if she wanted to go with her friends, she thought it was a great idea and so did I.

The play was so much fun with people we recognized in it, they did a fantastic job! The girls all loved it and talked about it the rest of the time.
When we got home Jenna got to blow out her candles on her turtle cupcakes she helped me make.
When it comes to working in the kitchen, cooking and baking she is always wanting to help. I love that about her.
After some gifts the girls played with the new game she got and then it was time to go.
Saturday was all about birthdays, after cleaning up we got to go help Kenzie and Sam celebrate their birthdays at the Mt Scott Rec Center. Here is Jenna on the rope swing.
Such a fun day!

Frog and Toad

Bubby and I got to go to Jenna's Frog and Toad play in her classroom Friday. Jenna was narrator 1, a pretty big part. She did a wonderful job with the whole thing, she said her part without any mistakes. We were so proud of her! After the plays we got to stay and have lunch with her.

Halloween!

Halloween was a busy day! I went shopping, cleaned out 7 pumpkins, volunteered in Jaida's class, carved said pumpkins, threw some dinner at the kids, dressed for trunk or treat, trick or treated with the Yee's, came home to finally light pumpkins!
Only one casualty, my toe! Pretty sure it's broken, after running upstairs to find more costume supplies before trunk or treat I ran upstairs and bashed my toe into the step. Ouch!
All in all it was a crazy, mostly fun day!

Logan Is 5!

Every family home evening during "announcements" Logan lets us all know he can't wait until it's his birthday...talk about pressure! It turned out to be so much fun for everyone! I borrowed his awesome costume from a friend who made it last year and it was perfect. We went with the mummy theme with his costume, pinata and cake.
Of course the pinata was a "hit", they all got to try it with a blindfold then without so they could really get a hold of that thing!
Jaida and Jenna were excellent helpers, they helped with decorating pumpkins and playing "pin the bow tie on the skeleton".
We had pumpkin shaped pizza for dinner and cake and ice cream for dessert.
