Christmas

I am loving the Christmas decorations this year! We had a little incident with the tree however, it started leaning because the base wasn't working right. I had to buy a new base and have friends help pick the tree up, take it out of the old base and replace it with the new one! The tree would have fallen over that night I am sure, I could put my hand under the base it was leaning so much. You can see the before and after. Did I mention Russ was out of town? Thanks for your help P's!

Thanksgiving

Russes mom came out for Thanksgiving this year, we invited some friends and had a great dinner!
We started the day at the turkey trot at the elementary school, we couldn't have asked for better weather.

After Thanksgiving it was time to start decorating for Christmas, we found our tree and Big Russ cut it down. It was a fun week with grandma in town.

Halloween!

We had an awesome Halloween! Lots of trunk or treating and lots more trick or treating around the neighborhood.
Jaida was a vampire girl, Jenna a 50s biker chick and Logan a ninja. I was Flo from Progressive and Big Russ was Mayhem from Allstate (at least last week he dressed up for a neighbor party, but not on Halloween).

This year we put our fire pit in the middle of the culdesac and a bunch of us sat around with our buckets of candy to pass to the trick or treaters. It was such a perfect night weather wise and great company. Have we said we love our neighbors? Well, we do. A lot.

Lincoln City

After the funeral my parents drove back with us as we were supposed to meet in Lincoln city that next weekend anyway. The coast was perfect, even great weather!

My dad likes projects so I kept him busy! Maybe a little too busy! He worked on electrical, adding lights and switches. He did our counter and sinks in the master bathroom, added plugs and more switches. I had a hard time keeping up with him!

Clean Up

While there for the funeral we all worked together to get some things cleaned out. Let's just say we got a lot done, and a weight has been lifted.

Grandpa Dennis' Funeral

Russ' dad passed away the end of September and we were able to attend the funeral. It was a great service and I was so proud of Russ speaking and dedicating the grave. Of course, it was fun to see family, to laugh and cry together.
We will miss having Grandpa Dennis here. Until we meet again.

Logan's Birthday!

This year was a family party, he said he wanted to go to Out of This World to play. I didn't think it would be fun to just go by ourselves so we invited a few friends before they went to Kindergarten.
We had cupcakes after the bus and carved pumpkins. After dinner with friends we had more cupcakes.
We love this little boy so much, it is a joy to be his Mom. He is just plain good. Love you, Bub!

Besties

These two boys are best buds, and who could resist this face, my besties baby girl. Mini photo shoot on first day of school.

Neighborhood

Have I mentioned I love my neighborhood?

First Day

Logan had his first day of school a week late. He loved it and said it was so much fun. His favorite part of the day was singing, his favorite person in class is his teacher and couldn't wait for the next day to go again.

First Day

The girls started school today, Jaida is now in middle school and Jenna in third grade. The morning couldn't have gone any better, because we had back to school night Jenna already met her teacher and knew where she would be sitting she wasn't nervous at all. Jaida was excited for her new school and didn't even get nervous either. Logan has to be patient and wait for his first day of kindergarten on the 9th.

Sauvie Island

We went with some friends to enjoy our last day of summer before school starts. It was right along the Columbia River, when the big boats would go by they made lots of nice waves for the kids to swim in.

Redneck

Russ and I had fun weekend together, we decided to be rednecks and shoot guns. It was so much fun!

RAOK

RAOK=random acts of kindness. We got together with our friends and made cookies on Monday, Tuesday we went and Delivered them to people in our community. We stopped at the school, a construction site, Police Department and finished at the fire station. We even got a tour of the truck!
