Do you change the size of your pictures at all before you put them on your blog? Candi had the same problem as you and it's because she never saved her pictures for web and devices first.
Pictures should be at 72 dpi. Blogger has a limit to the total file size of images that can be saved so if you decrease the file size you should be fine. I've been blogging on the same address for 3.5 years and have never had a problem. I post a lot of pictures too. I posted 16 pictures in one post today. I use Photoshop to save for web/devices.
